The Wedding Singer

I nailed yet another of those films I promised myself I’d see. The Wedding Singer, I couldn’t believe it was twelve years old.

I have never been a huge fan of Adam Sandler, yet saying that I can’t honestly say I haven’t enjoyed most films he’s been in, so, I guess I am a fan after all. I do like Drew Barrymore too and ‘’OMG’’ the music. It was a nostalgic roam through the 80’s and he actually belted out an all time favourite song I like.

I really did enjoy the film, well worth the night in. Did I mention I also watched The Magnificent Seven just before that?!! Another great that I’ve seen loads of times.

Anyway, that song I was talking about, I do prefer this version the best and it is defo dedicated.

Gotta love the artists at work, she made me look better on paper. What I want to know is how she 'nailed' me so 'elegantly. The thing is .... how does she know I have a spotty bum?!!!!!

Blowing my own trumpet....

About six weeks ago a whole department (17 staff members) was closed and I thought my job was seriously at risk too but the MD just moved me across to another position along with two others. We were horrified to see long standing members become redundant or were sacked. I did everything I could to secure the jobs of at least eight former colleagues but I couldn’t help them all.

I received a gift this week with this letter from one particular young lady that was sacked, I have blocked sensitive names etc;

We are due to get together next week for a drink following my phone call to thank her for the gift but more importantly to put her at ease as there was a lot more in the letter that I couldn't share.

I am not looking for any accolades here but to enforce that old adage:

It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare,

it is because we do not dare that things are difficult.

I believe it took a lot of courage to write to me.
